The new TAG going around the block is the Colors of the Rainbow TAG! So it only made sense that I would do it. For this TAG you find a current favorite of ours that corresponds with the colors of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple. But I will be omitting indigo because I couldn’t find anything. And I’ll be adding pink! Because I love pink so much that it should be included in the rainbow. I chose seven products that all serve a different purpose. You won’t be seeing two nail polishes or lip colors in different colors here!
In this picture I’m wearing my choices for purple, orange, and green! Read on to find out what those are!
RED: Swedish Clover Foot File ($9)(Sally Beauty)
This tool helps to scrub off any dead skin and soften my feet. I tend to gravitate toward it most during the summer months, as my feet are much more exposed. They are sold in all sorts of colors, I just happen to have a red one. It’s two sided, with one side being rougher than the other. I typically use it in the shower after my heels have softened up a bit for some pretty feet!
ORANGE: Revlon Lip Butter in the color Tutti Frutti ($6)(Drugstores)
I realize the shape of the lip butter is a bit deformed. I may have hit it on the counter…
This color is super orange for a lip color. Not orangish-pink, or red with a hint of orange. No, it’s just orange. I know that may seem a bit off-putting, like who wants orange lips? Let me explain. Because it’s a lip butter, the color is sheerer than a typical lipstick. Therefore when you apply the orange to your natural lips it comes off as a salmon color, which is more flattering than a blunt orange.
YELLOW: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion ($25)(Sephora)
I thought this one was going to be the hardest to find, but it was one of the easiest! This isn’t just my favorite face moisturizer at the moment, but all the time! I’ve gone through many containers. I actually talked about this product in my last “Products I’ve Used Up” post. You can check that out here.
GREEN: Maybelline Define-a-Brow ($7)(Drugstores)
I just did a detailed review about how much I love this product, so it only makes sense that I’d include it here! This is an eyebrow pencil and while the pencil itself isn’t green, the packaging is! When I define my brows this is the only thing I will use! The review can be found here.
BLUE: Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner ($17)(Ulta)
I know $17 is pretty expensive for a leave in conditioner, but I actually go this on sale for $7! They also have a travel size container for $6. This is definitely my favorite hair product of the moment! My hair has been so tangled lately and this is has been my savior. I spray some on the bottom half of my soaking wet hair as I get out of the shower and it makes combing so much easier! I haven’t noticed that my hair is necessarily softer or healthier from using this, but it’s a wonderful detangler!
PURPLE: Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Painted Purple ($7)(Drugstores)
After Bethany Mota (aka Macbarbie07) talked about wearing this cream eye shadow as an eyeliner, I had to try it! I was sort of upset that I hadn’t thought about this sooner, but oh well. By wearing this bright purple as an eyeliner, I feel very summery. It’s brighter than most eyeliners, but from a distance it isn’t that noticeable. I actually wore this look all day and my dad didn’t notice for hours. But that could just be because he’s a boy…
PINK: Orly Passion Fruit ($8)(Ulta)
I just included this nail polish as one of my summer must-haves in my “Summer Essentials” post. But I just love the color so much that I had to mention it again! This is a neon pink, which is my favorite type of pink at the moment. And nail polish is the best way to wear neons. I have a picture on instagram of me wearing this color with some white tips! Check it out here.
