It’s time for another addition of “Products I’ve Used Up,” where I talk about exactly that, products I’ve used up! I have seven empties to share with you today that I finished up lately, some faster than others. This blog post will consist of a mini review of each of my empties and a statement of whether I will be repurchasing the product or not.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation Normal/Dry in color 180 Sand Beige ($13)(Drugstores)

This is probably the product I talk about the most on this blog. It’s been my favorite foundation for a really long time and I keep repurchasing it! This has to be my third or fourth container; I’ve lost track. It provides the perfect coverage and makes my skin feel smooth and matte. I seem to go through the bottle faster than I’d like, considering its price. But I’ll continue to buy it. I actually already bought a new one. I compared this foundation to Revlon’s Nearly Naked Foundation in this post.

Maybelline Define-a-Brow ($7)(Drugstores)

Again, this product isn’t new to my blog. It makes sense that these products would be mentioned here previously because if I managed to like them enough to finish them, they probably have made it into a post already. This product was featured in my most recent “Candid Critique” post. There I reviewed it and gave a little demo. It also was briefly mentioned in my “Colors of the Rainbow TAG” post.

I really like this product. It was the first eyebrow pencil I’ve ever bought and I was very pleased. I like that acts as a tool to enhance my eyebrows, not something to make them seem drawn on. It appears very natural. However, if gives you no sign of when it’s about to run out, which is annoying. I didn’t have a back up in stock when this one finished up. I think the price is perfect for this product and it lasted me about three months. I already repurchased it and I’m planning on continuing to.

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer ($7)(Drugstores)

This product is amazing for under my eyes. It’s marketed to hide imperfections while illuminating the area. I have dry skin, so this brightens my sometimes dull face. I use it everyday just on top of my foundation. It’s mentioned and used in many of my tutorials on this blog. If you would like to see this product check out the tutorials herehere, and here. This one is a review all about concealer.

This is another one of those products that it isn’t easy to see when it’s going to run out. It lasted me a long time though, which is always nice. And I have already repurchased it!

Aveeno Continuous Protection Sunblock Body Lotion SPF 55 ($7) (Drugstores)

I bought this sunscreen in January of 2012! I know! Literally forever ago! And I had used the majority of it in the summer of 2012 (I talked about it in a Summer Must-Haves post), but I still had a tiny bit left. So I used that up and am excited to finally get this sunscreen out of my bathroom. I liked it, but it wasn’t my favorite. I was able to use it up without any trouble, but I don’t like it enough to buy it again. I did like that it doesn’t smell like typical sunscreen, it reminds me of something a baby would smell like. Now that I’ve discovered Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration SPF 50 ($9)(Drugstores), I’m not going to be using anything else. The Hawaiian Tropic stuff smells better than this Aveeno one. Even though I really have nothing negative to say about this Aveeno product, I just don’t think it’s the sunscreen for me.

I mentioned the Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen in my “Summer Essentials” post here.

Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment ($7)(Ulta)

This product actually comes in three different sizes. This one is the smallest and is only .34 oz. I actually got this product as a free reward for spending a certain amount of money at Ulta. It can be used on either dry or damp hair, but I just apply about a dime-sized amount to the very ends of my hair right after I get out of the shower. It’s oil, so it can make my hair greasy if I apply too much. I like that it seems to almost seal the ends of my hair. I received the same free reward from Ulta and I got this product for the second time just recently. Even if it wasn’t free, I would still get it again. However the full size is 40 bucks! So I think I’ll just stick with this itty bitty one, it actually seemed to last longer than I expected.

Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Shampoo and Conditioner ($3 each)(drugstores)

I bought this set of shampoo and conditioner because I’ve been trying to grow my hair out. Surprise, surprise! I know, it seems like everyone is! (Shampoo not pictured. It mysteriously disappeared from my shower after I had finished the bottle). I liked both the shampoo and conditioner, but they weren’t really anything special. And just like with many other products, I got sick of the scent. I didn’t notice that my hair grew because of these products or even that my hair was stronger. I haven’t and I won’t be repurchasing either of these. But I do have to say that they are really inexpensive. I mean, who doesn’t want to pay a total of $6 for shampoo and conditioner!?

E.L.F. Studio Blush in the color Candid Coral ($3)(Target)

I realize this product isn’t completely used up. However, if I used it all up then you wouldn’t get to see what the color looks like. So I’ll also be including products that I’ve hit pan on in these blog posts. This is a very pretty and super cheap coral blush. I’m surprised it actually took as long as it did to hit the pan. But now that I’ve hit pan, I feel like I’m going through it incredibly fast. I won’t be purchasing this blush again, even though I really like it. I have so many other blushes to use that I’m nowhere near finishing, so I should probably focus on those before buying any more blushes.

My last “Products I’ve Used Up” post was in March this year. I did the same sort of thing there with eight different products! So go check that one out here.
